Fresh off of their smashing opening less than a week prior, Dimensions Gallery played host to a Downtown Business Association after hours mixer, giving downtown dignitaries an opportunity to schmooze and peruse the award-winning displays.

Of course, when any such collection of big shots and hobnobbers congregrates downtown, BROUGHTONSTREET.COM makes the right moves and gets in the door to bring exclusive coverage. (Oh, and there was free wine. In bottles, even. Classy!)

BROUGHTONSTREET.COM's Jessica talking shop with Cryselle Stewart, owner of Dimensions Gallery; and Randall Toussaint, Program Director of the Savannah Development Renewal Authority.

Mac, the newest street team member.

Our newest member of the street team, Mac, came through with style and finesse, charming all the ladies into taking a BROUGHTONSTREET business card.

In the background of the function, Dimensions exhibited a collection of award-winning SCAD student works.

The Civil War...as portrayed by mice and birds.

This included BROUGHTONSTREET's favorite, a Civil War battle depicted as an emphatic riverside struggle between Union mice and Confederate birds. Apparently, the painting is the first in a series meant to educate children about the war, without scarring their precious little eyes with explicit violence. (No telling how rehashing the end will go over with some Georgian parents.)

The party people received us warmly, and your BROUGHTONSTREET.COM squad is ready to deploy for the next downtown Savannah social gala in full force. (Especially when it comes equipped with vino gratis.)

Big ups to Cryselle and Warren from Dimensions, and Cheryl from the DBA for a posh and friendly setting. (Photos by Chris)
