Dimensions Art Gallery is proud to announce on May 2nd the opening of “Incrementals” by the artists Jeff Beekman& Travis Linville. On May 2nd, Dimensions Gallery will be exhibiting two very different collections of work woven together to form the outstanding exhibition by two local Savannahian artists. The show’s title “incrementals” represents a mix of two very distinctive styles that have been brought to deliver a powerful yet highly unique expression of artistic journey. Travis Linville photographically in his work explores many ideas one being Knots. According to Linville, knots function as metaphors for conflict resolution, knots can secure but also bind and restrict depending on perspective. While Beekman looks at two ideas which have guided him – the non-objectivity of reference materials and our inability to describe the complexity and power of humans gathered together – the non-objectivity of reference materials and our inability to describe the complexity and power of humans gathered together.
